Our RV Decor Resources
Curious about the decor or resources used to renovate and decorate our RV? Here are the link references to the products we used.
If you ask me, the best way to add soul to your home is with something handcrafted or that has a history vs. something mass produced and disposable. This is why my favorite places to shop are vintage/antique markets and local shops from the towns we are visiting. With that said, I also love mixing old with new and the convenience of retailers such as Amazon, Target or HomeGoods can definitely come in handy. Some items I wanted and purchased out of convenience or as a temporary fix from being impatient and not finding exactly what I was looking for. Over time I've learned the best way to create a home you love, is to be super intentional with what you bring in. It's about better, not more, although old habits do creep in sometimes… just something to think about as you shop for your own home on wheels!
With that said, I receive questions about decorative items in the photos I've shared so I wanted to place to share this info with you. I'll try to link to similar products if the exact item isn't available. I'll also add links to project and video reference posts when available.
Some items we brought from our previous home mixed with items we've purchased over time since hitting the road. We also used a lot of reclaimed wood either from the cabin venue we were married at, or Eric's family's farm.
Sure there are some things I'd like to change or update, but that will happen over time. Our goal is to pick up little treasures as we travel the US to add to our tiny home on wheels. For now, we love how our space feels and the memories we're creating in it. Which is what it's all about, right?
This is going to be rather lengthy but I hope it will help answer any questions you have about items in our RV. I'll try to update this page as we add or tweak items, but if you have any questions about something not mentioned here, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email.

Main Living Area – Updated 2018
Some things have changed since our last (non-holiday) RV tour, which was Feb. 2017. We plan to share an updated tour soon but have had questions about some of the items in photos we've shared on social media so I wanted to share some of those here as well. A lot of stuff we have just borrowed and shifted from other rooms, but the biggest changes are probably in the living room area.
Tension Rod for Curtains: Amazon
Curtains: These are actually Ruth & Boaz camping blankets that I hung up with ring hooks (yay for having extra blankets in case we need them!) | I also previously used some linen curtains from Ikea. The buffalo check curtains you see in our holiday tour were made by mom mom and I had purchased the material from Ebay.
Folding Coffee Table – This was a clearance find from Ross I just couldn't pass up. Eric and I made a more "rustic" top, which we may not have cut completely straight but I love it anyway! I've found the same table online here.
Rustic Wood/Metal Tray: Ross | Similar one here and here
Galvanized Container Soy Candle | Target (This is now empty but I use it for my flickering LED candles)
Hand-forged metal bell: Local Shop in downtown Nevada City
Antler – Eric's family's farm
Himalayan Salt Lamp: HomeGoods – Similar ones here.
Rustic Wood Bark Vases: HomeGoods | Similar ones here.
Faux Fur Throw Blanket (previously in the bedroom): Similar ones here
Rustic Candle Holders – DIY project you can find here.
Hanging Planters in cab area – These are super light wood planters I picked up from the local craft shop and then painted black.
Small hanging concrete planter above media cabinet: World Market
Wall Art: I made this and you can find the post here, or snag the printable version in the shop.
Plants/Greenery: Local nurseries depending on where we are staying. We have a cat that likes to eat plants (not fun) so we do go through more than I'd like to admit. We buy our greenery and plants from a variety of places, depending on where we are. I recommend getting plants from a nursery when possible, as they tend to be taken care of and last longer. I've also picked some up from hardware stores when I can't find a local nursery – just FYI, most places will take plants back within a year as long as you keep your receipt! Yup, this includes dead plants. As for simple greenery or flowers, I tend to get those from local farmer's markets, co-ops, grocery stores, and of course Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are great!
Mountain Art Cabinet Door – This was a DIY but we haven't posted about it yet.
Main Living Area – from February 2017 Tour
Living Room Rug: Birch Lane Rayna Rug from Wayfair
Cabinet Knobs: We purchased flat knobs and glued stones to the fronts, which I painted. | Similar ones here | Post: How to Make Rustic Modern Knobs
Metal Chairs: We purchased a set of four a couple years ago and brought 2 with us in the RV. Similar ones here and here. Comfortable seat cushions are key, which is why I have a seat cushion and also generally use the faux sheepskin rug on the chair too. These may not have been my first choice, but we had them and they're working for us for now.
Faux Sheepskin Rug: Similar ones here
Sofa and cushions: We built the sofa and my mom made the upholstered cushions from this fabric. | Post: DIY Sofa Part 1 | DIY Sofa Part 2
Throw Pillows: Faux Leather/Linen Pillow: Amazon – I also like these full faux leather pillows | Similar Faux velvet/suede covers here. Wool Kilim Pillow Covers: Joss and Main, find other similar ones on Amazon | We've also used some Pendelton Pillow covers I found at HomeGoods.Pillow Posts: Re-imagined No-Sew Pillows | Post: Rustic DIY Winter Pillows |DIY No-Sew Boho-Inspired Pillows
Green Faux Velvet Pillows: World Market | White Linen Throw Pillow: My mom made the cover and I added the twine.
Throw Blanket: Similar one here.
Hanging Basket on side of Sofa: I found this at Queen of Hearts Antique Shop | Similar one here
Moose Hooks – I purchased these from HomeGoods, but these are similar, although not as tall. We just attached our hooks to some reclaimed wood.
Light Fixture – We made this but you can find similar ones here.
LED Green Hurricane Lanterns – The lighting in these lanterns is very white/blue, which I'm not a huge fan of. We may change them out someday or replace them with warmer LED lanterns, but we love how they look and that they're functional. If you're looking for a warmer LED lantern I'd recommend checking out these white or red ones instead. We no longer have these and instead replaced them with a single vintage camp lantern that I added a Hilimayan Salt Lamp plug into.
Folding Ottoman/Chairs: Amazon – these may look funky (you can see them in our previous tour), but they are super functional. Similar ones here
LED Candle Sticks: Similar ones here and here
Media Cabinet: We built this which includes a TV lift mechanism and electric fireplace from Touchstone Home Products | Posts: How to Build Rustic Modern Cabinet | Install TV lift + Fireplace in Cabinet | How to hide TV when not in use | How to Build a Transforming Table

Time Zone Clocks: We bought the clocks from Target and spray paint them. | Post with Video: How to Make Time Zone Clocks
Essential Oils Diffuser: Amazon – We use this every day, we currently have two different ones. I'd like to snag a slimmer diffuser soon.
Galvanized Pails for holding plants: Similar ones here
Oh Darling Let's Be Adventurer's Sign above media cabinet: I made this but you can find the printable version in the shop.
Hanging Basket above media cabinet: Similar one here
Rustic Barn Wood Frame: Hobby Lobby | Similar ones here
Heads Carolina Tails California Sign: The Summery Umbrella
Folding Galvanized Tray in cab area: Similar one here or wood version here.
Planter: Target – doesn't look like they have the same one but they have similar ones
Small Indoor Plant Terrarium/Greenhouse: Similar ones here, here, here, and here.
Kitchen
Post with Video: Tips for organizing a tiny kitchen.
Upper Cabinet Color: BEHR Marquee Ultra Pure White in Satin (LOVE this paint!) Lower Cabinet Paint Color: DecoArt Chalk Paint: Charcoal (I honestly don't recommend using this and you can read why in Post: Painting Two-Toned RV Kitchen Cabinets | Post: RV Kitchen Reveal
Cabinet Hardware: D Lawless Hardware except for the ones below the sink which are from Hayneedle
Copper Paper Towel Holder: I made this and you can find the tutorial here.
Magnetic Strip: Amazon | Magnetic Spice Tin Containers from World Market | Similar ones here and here. Side Note: Keeping these so close to the stove may not be the best decision. They can get warm while I'm cooking and the heat apparently makes them lose flavor quicker (I never noticed this but we go through spices pretty quick around here). I recently moved all the spices to our fridge since it's magnetic, but you could always install one of these bars inside a cabinet or on the outer edge of a cabinet (like where we hang out wok).
Pot Holders: World Market
Mugs: We snagged these from a local artist but previously had some from World Market.
Faucet: Amazon – We like this faucet but have had some dripping from the handle so I don't know if that's an install issue or manufacturer issue. We have since moved the handle so it hangs over the sink and it no longer drips on our counter. It does get good reviews, especially for the price, but something to be aware of. If you like the style you may be better off going with the Ikea version | Post: Black Kitchen Faucet Designs
Ceramic Sponge Holder : Amazon/Etsy and I love it! It's pretty and functional.
Avocado Seed Planter – My mom makes these! Easy way to grow avocado plants without messy toothpicks.
Sink: Ebay – we bought our sink for just $20 – it was used and apparently came out of an older RV.
Kitchen Towels: World Market and Target
Fave Appliances: We now have this MASSIVE french press but they make smaller ones | Ninja Pulse: Amazon | InstantPot: Amazon (we know this thing is amazing but honestly weren't using it so we gave it to some RV neighbors)
Rollup Dish Drainer: Amazon| We previously used a Collapsible Dish Drainer from Amazon and I'm mentioning this because we had it and you may like it, but we recently gave it to my mom (who loves it) and then used drying dish mat that we bought from HomeGoods before switching to the rollup dish drainer (which we LOVE!). We do love having a collapsible colander though.
Hammered Copper Canisters: Similar ones here
Mountain Art: This was a DIY project. | Post: How to Make Mountain Wall Art
Basket/Tray: HomeGoods | Similar ones here (these are longer), here and here
Containers for Coffee and Sugar: Similar ones here and here

Empty Clear Essential Oils Bottle with Dried Lavender
Bedroom
Camper Blanket: Ruth & Boaz from Amazon (we LOVE these blankets in case you couldn't tell, considering we also use them as curtains.)
